Mary Georgina Barton was an Irish artist born in Dundalk, County Louth. She was educated at Southsea and Boulogne before going to the Westminster School of Art in 1895. In 1898 she went to Rome to teach and study art.
Mary Barton travelled extensively, going to Nepal, India and Mexico in 1909. She later published in 1911 Impressions of Mexico.
She exhibited at the Royal Hibernian Academy, the Belfast Society in 1902, and the Fine Art Society: Mexico Watercolours in 1909.
